Subject: Sound Problems in Loaded Movie
From: Marc Hoffman

Okay, I'm baffled:

I have a sound loop in a 2-frame movie clip: both frames have stop actions,
one of them plays the sound, the other stops the sound. A button in the
clip has two keyframes. Each instance of the button sends the playback
head to the other frame. So it's a sound toggle.

It works fine in Flash3 Test Movie. It works fine in a single-movie html
page. But when the movie is played through a Load Movie command from a
lower-level movie, the sound doesn't play. Other sounds in the timeline
play fine. There are two lower-level movies loaded, however they're both
parked in empty keyframes. I do notice that even though they're supposedly
inactive, tweening is sluggish in this environment. I'm running on a P166,
Win95, 64 MB, Netscape 4.0.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Please, make me feel dumb!

Thanks.
