I have been trying out the demo version as well.


I dont know squat about java scripting, however with fireworks I was able

to create some navigational images with mouse overs very easily. Fireworks

generated the script for the browser detection as well as the mouse overs.

It also generated the HTML to put my "sliced image" back together. All I

had to do was drop them into my pages! It was wonderful for someone like me

who really has neither the time or desire to learn java at this point.


You can see two sample navigational images that I recently did using

Fireworks at the following:

This first one is a navigational image that I did for a site for a "copy

writing" company. None of the links are functional since this is just a

sample on my site. They are in the process of incorporating it into their

existing pages.


This one uses mouse overs and was done when I redesigned the site for this

pest control company. I also did the background in Fireworks.

The animated fly (Icky Fly) on this page was originally created in Flash 2

and exported as a GIF. I took it into Fireworks and was able to get the

file size down more.


I have already become quite attached to the demo version, so it looks like

I am gonna have to cough up some money for the program!
