Have you ever embedded RealAudio?
It's the same principle as embedding Flash in a page. You can use
javascript commands to control what and when RealAudio files are being
played without launching the RealPlayer (it's getting more attractive...)
See http://www.musicnet.com/hotpicks/index.html for an example of what an
embedded experience might look like.
