Hiya Craig,
Sorry to say, but your SOL if your trying to edit an imported swf file.
It creates only one layer with nothing but keyframes for the animation.
It would be more work trying to edit a swf than just recreating a new Fla.
You dont need a program besides Flash to import a swf format unless the
movie
is protected, then you need a hex editor proggy or something that will read
the headers and delete the
protect header. Still the swf. format is almost impossible to edit.
