This might not help, but many times what happens is that an installer will
decompress the files to your Windows\Temp directory. Sometimes
installation programs won't remove these files after the install, and when
you try and install another program it uses some of these old files.
One fix I've found is to delete everything in the Temp directory, empty
your recycle bin then give it a try. It should work at that point. If
not, follow the same procedure, reboot then try it.
