Try this:


Have three layers, 

	1 - symbols that you want to have emerge.

	2 - symbols that you want to emerge through.

	3 - symbols that you want to emerge from. (same as layer 1?)


Have a couple of transparency tweens on 1 and 3, and have layer 3 tween

from 100% alpha to 0% alpha, and layer 1 from 0% alpha to 100% alpha.

Have tweens running concurrently.


This should give you an effect where the symbol on 3 fades out, layer 1

fades in and the two together appear to fade the symbol via layer 2.
