Hi JIm

	If I understand the question correctly, you might try this. Whenever

you create a movie or a movie clip have one layer with nothing in it but

clear key frames and actions. Then for frame actions, at least, you can

do a copy frame on the frame with the actions and paste this action

frame into other movie clips or movies as needed.

	As for actions within buttons the same principle can apply. Have an

actions layer and copy and paste. 

	For actions assigned to a button you could copy the frame that contains

the button with its actions. Paste that frame in its new location. I'm

not sure about this part but I think it might work. Double click on the

button. When the instance properties comes up select the new button art

and that should substitute different art and hopefully keep the complex

actions assigned to it.

	In case you can't tell, I am a great fan of copy and paste frames.
