Hi Wayne,

> is your email program displaying the following (swf) flash file in this window?
No, and even if it did, this was a very ill advised stunt and you knew
it, but were so thrilled by this new discovery of swf attachments you
went ahead anyway.

This is a waste of time and a waste of bandwidth.

You calculated wrong or you are already getting a lot of attachments.
The small file you sent is double the average email sent to the list. We
already have complaints about how big the List is.

If you really thought it was OK, why did you put the flame suit on?????

Yes, it is and we've been doing that for a long time, but there are some
things you need to be careful with in doing this. But, we ALWAYS advise
our client ahead of time and do a test first.

She must have a lot of patience with you.

Also, it is a smaller list, low volume and NO one is on a digest version
where even if you had sent the swf correctly that it would appear as
gobballygak!!!!!!

Thanks, but Wayne you didn't pay attension before to the fact that
people outside of the US actually have to pay for their time online
whether using Email or the Web, They pay their phone company by the
minute they are on the phone in addition to ISP charges.

It takes a lot more time to receive a file as an email attachment than
to download it for view by HTTP or to download it to your drive by FTP.
Of course if you happen to be on a T1 line you may be unaware of this
(unless you had paid attention to statements of why not to send
attachments)

I would suggest that even if you don't understand why it is BAD that you
should not turn on your HTML and not send attachments to this or most
any other major list.

Not only have I seen 7 additional Emails on this alredy, but I know I
will receive private Email complaints as well (based on past
experience). This test serves no purpose because even if it was
successful, attachments can't be allowed (even Flash). The big
complaints won't come until tomorrow (though most hopefully won't feel
the need to complain on the List) when the people get to work especially
ones who have the digest and will have a block of about 70 lines of
garbage where your attachment is.

There is no good reason to send attachments to this List. PERIOD.
Even if they are Flash, it is NOT OK. Pardon my shouting but this has
been covered before.

Sending Flash Email attachments to clients is a good idea, but I would
always do a test first.
