Still doesn't happen for me.  Here are the steps I'm using:


1) Create some text using the _sans font.

2) Select the text and make it a symbol (default type graphic and default name).

3) Choose Modify > Transform > Rotate Right (or Rotate Left).


Everything is working okay here on a beige G3, MacOS 8.6.
