FLASH: wide field not shown in symbol stage

my suggestion is to right click on the landscape when on the stage,

and select "edit in place". It will show the whole picture, in

context, on the stage. To get back to the stage, click on the

underlined link on the top left, above the time line.

then they try to edit the symbol

on the symbol stage, but the landscape is now chopped off on both

sides. no

amount of fiddle-de-diddle (including modify movie sizes, ctrl-1 ,

ctrl-2

and ctrl-3) allows the sides to show when in symbol edit mode. the

"view

work area" command is greyed out in the symbol stage, that's normal,

right?

on the main stage the pan appears normally. does anyone know what is

up? tia
