hmm...that is a good idea, and we may have to go with that...
but, to be honest, that still isn't very secure. even if i added all sorts
of nonsense (including other numeric strings), someone interested in
screwing things up would still know their point value (it's diplsayed in the
game) and could find where in my nonsense string that value is present,
change that vlaue and then...i'm back where i started.
i'm terrible at all scripting/programming but would anyone good at that kind
of thing be able to maybe write an encryption algorithm in actionscript that
could be used by flash internally to encrypt things? or is too difficult to
do that well?

p.s.- if you do happen to write one, or can point me to one already on the
internet, could you please contact me directly (rather than posting it to
the list) so the algorithm isn't just sitting out here forever for all to
see
