Oh, yes they do, you just have to move the mouse down below the submenu,
not sideways (as I was trying). And come to think of it, I guess if
they disappeared on mouseout, you couldn't ever click on a subitem,
could you? Guess that's why menu rollouts often require a click to open
and a click to close... Well, ignore the above pre-coffee reply --
looks like you've got it working.
