This bad display is an AOL browser default - it has been present since the
first AOL browser in v2.7 or so. If any graphic is larger than something
like 3k, it is re-rendered and further compressed with the aol software as a
jpg. This is one reason why the browser is so slow.

This can be altered by your client via the AOL preferences. I think its in
Web Preferences --->Use compressed images. "Use compressed images" must NOT
be selected for the graphics to display in the way they are intended.
