FLASH: Freehand to Flash Problem

I've created some text in freehand aligned to a circular path and

exported them as swf files.  Then when I've imported them into flash,

grouped the individual letters together and converted them into symbols. 

I get a few symbols of individual letters is there a way round this?


Mind you it only occurs on duplicate letters so is flashes way of

automatically optimising itself?
