You can instruct the Flash Player to take the time to smooth out any
realtime rotation or resizing of pixel-based images... it's the QUALITY
attribute of the OBJECT/EMBED tag that would be set to a value of "best" in
this case.

The default value is "high", which always antialiases curves but which only
smooths bitmaps used in illustrations, and which does not smooth bitmaps
used in animations. At a "best" setting the computer will spend more time
smoothing than playing... you have a choice to control how the Macromedia
Flash Player renders this file, where it invests the processor cycles.
