I prefer J. Mohler's book outta all of 'em ... he designed it to be a
textbook to accompany any course in Flash, and I feel that he has
done an excellent job, including re ActionScript. Much learning
within a relatively slim book.

I'd suggest that you avoid Hillman Curtis' book like the plague: way
too much d*mn ego for my taste, PLUS he has the nerve to have NO
index listings for "ActionScript", instead referring the reader to
"object-oriented programming". Gimme a GD break, Hilly ...
pretentiousness to the Max.

Another idea is to go to amazon.com and check out which Flash books
are the better sellers ... they provide "sales rank" stats.

Best IMO is to go to a good big book store and spend a coupla hours
and peruse. Get what vibes with ya, yadda etc.

HTH,

Kenny Sherwood

p.s. One last thought: I've *never* been disappointed with *any*
"Bible"-series book that I've purchased (about 6). YMMV of course.
