Quick notes:

-- When Flash exports to .AI, curve count is no longer important, and so
the change from the fast-rendering quadratic curves to bicubic Beziers
doesn't have to worry about minimizing curve count.
When using an automated routine to convert bicubic Beziers to SWF's
fast quadratic curves, though, it can be very helpful to check into
optimizing the final results yourself. (It's almost similar to tracing a
bitmap in a way.)

-- SneakPeeks are direction trends, and nothing is set in stone until an
application goes final. That's why I said that inspectors are a likely
trend.

-- Yes, it's very true that you can see a color shift when coming through
the AI format... the import filters are for .AI6, and RGB spaces weren't
added until version 7 of that app. It's usually better to use Illustrator
for curves that are difficult to draw otherwise, rather than colors and
fills. (FreeHand happily imports and renders CMYK, Pantone, more.)

No worries. And hey, I thought I *did* get (and return) the joke in the
first paragraph.... ;-)
