I don't see it as a competition at this juncture though
Flash has a much more robust development environment.

If you are comfortable with After Effects you might like
using LiveMotion. If you are doing mostly animation with
not too much intense interactivity then you might like
LiveMotion.

I personally like how you can manipulate motion in LiveMotion
but if I had to choose between the two, I would pick Flash.
