Bill,

If you have flash you can export as an animated gif. If you have a
protected flash animation and no flash then theonlyl way to do it would be
to screen capture all the frames and put it into a gif animation program
(could be very time consuming).

Are there any programs or plugins that will convert a Flash animation
into an animated GIF. One can do it manually of course, but that is
