Hi, Scott

I believe that if you load a swf into a movie clip, it replaces that mc's contents entirely. Maybe what you could do is load your button into a higher "level" rather than into a movie clip. Say load it into _level5. Then you can load your new swf into either a lower level, or into a movie clip on the main movie (_level0) and the button would remain on top.

If i am loading an external swf into a target MC is it possible to have
something in that movie clip appear over it? For example: I want to load a
swf into a movie clip that contains a button that makes whatever I loaded
into it draggable. I know I can do it in the individual swfs but I would
like to make it one universal thing. I tried loading the swf into a sub
movie clip of the MC I have the button in but it appears that the swf still
appears on top of the button. Any ideas? Thanks

SJ
