How do you know it is not loaded?  How are you loading it?  How are you calling the variables that are coming in from the text file?  There must be an error in a path statement somewhere, but we can't see it from here.   :-)


>From the mc in which you are loading the text file, the variables are referred to by name.  From elsewhere, they must be referred to by :/mcInstanceName:variablename" or some variation that points to the movie clip in which the variables reside.  Also, you don't mention if you have a loop that is waiting for the variables to load...?


Can you cut 'n paste your code here with a bit more in detail?

  Ok. So I can get a text file to load if the movie that is calling it 

  is in the main timeLine. What I cannot do is have the following;

  Have the mainTimeLine and in that a MC that in it's timeline calls a 

  textFile into itself. God I hope I am explaining this so that it 

  makes sense. No matter what it just won't load that damn text file if 

  it is a level deeper than the mainTimeLine. Anyone have any 

  suggestions?
