You could stipulate a contract that says that you retain rights to any
original artwork you will provide, otherwise it's Work for Hire, and the
artwork that you create stays with them.

Now, I don't know about reuse of certain elements, but if you want to know
more information about the actual legality of these things, refer to The
Graphic Artist's Guild Handbook v. 9 for more information...someone's
snagged mine, so I can't look it up for you.

I really wouldn't worry about reusing elements for your own design. I would
be hesitant about reusing the whole fla for a different company.

Are you freelance or a salaried employee?
