I agree with you in theory. But bear in mind that e-mail is not the same

as face-to-face communication. LOL and ROFL and <g> and :-) can never

communicate feelings as much as body language, the look in one's eyes,

the turn of the mouth, etc. 


It is **so** much easier to be misunderstood when using e-mail. Factor

in the diversity of cultures and nationalities on this list and you

really have to be aware of the impact of what you write. 


It is possible to have a sense of humor *and* be sensitive.
