Paul,
Think about this equation:
Set Variable: "../:speedX" = (../:speedX * ../:friction)
It will decrease the speed of the ball after every frame...depending on how
you use it. Do the same thing to adjust the y speed.

Subject: FLASH: moving a ball with friction
i am not sure if my previous post went through or not
i am trying to figure out a way to program a ball to move much like a golf
ball would. depending on a variable i would like to move the ball at a
certain speed then slowly slow the ball down untill it stops. i can get the
ball to move at different speeds but i cant figure out how to slow it down
gradually and then stop
any help would be great
thanks
paul
