I don't know if I understood the question right, but could it be as simple as
just putting the movie in a HTML table and center it in its cell? Is that what
you mean?

That's what I did here:

Just check out the source code for my HTML page and you'll see how I did it.

My original movie is 717 x 500 pixels but will be centered on any browser, any
platform, any resolution...
