I've been playing around with this as it's an effect I like using as it
always works fine! I don't break the text apart or convert it to a symbol,
but you could do both and it still works. The only other thing is that maybe
you're using a text field as a mask, rather than a regular text box? This
gives the impression it is working in the movie sort of, but it don't export
too clever. Select your text and make sure the text field toggle is
unchecked.
If you still have probs, mail me off list and I'll send you a FLA that
works.
