FLASH: drawing app in Flash (and ability to save/share)

I'm curious if anyone has seen a drawing app done in

flash, where I could draw like a happy face then save

that to a file on the server for others to view?


I think I remember seeing something like this but I'm

not sure it was done in Flash.  Seems like you'd be

saving a slew of coordinates to a text or data file.


Is this something even possible with Flash (and

backend server scripting) and/or is there a possible

tutorial or sample of this?


More than anything I'm trying to determine if we just

need to go the Java Applet route (ugh), Flash, or

maybe Director or Generator.


I like the examples of creating mixes or videos in

Director (like the Nike site) then being able to save

and send to a friend.  


Any insight would be most helpful!  Thank you.
