FLASH: flash 4: Button

I have a button 0n level 100 that targets a MC on level 50 and Level 40,

depending on which MC is selected. When I select the MC on level 50 the

button script runs when selected. When the MC on level 40 is selected the

script of the button is ignored. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
