Only really helps if you have a second hard drive. Putting the swap file

onto a different partition on the same drive can actually worsen the

machine's performance.

I thought that all this would do is create a bigger lookup table for the

file system, making relaunching an application a little quicker, because

Windows will be more likely to remember where all required files are. I've

never seen any significant performance gain as such from changing this

setting...
