First thing I'd check is if you have a tween in that layer to the keys of

your bad frame, Flash may be trying to tween your traced image, something

that with a complex vector can take days (I literally left my G3 on over a

long weekend stuck in one of these tweens, amazingly it was done when I got

back and I was able to delete the traced vector and save the file and;-).

Another thought is that it maybe a memory problem. If your on 9x, clear ~500

MB on your C drive, or set your VM to another drive with more space. NT does

a bit better job of managing VM, but I've still had out of memory problems

when working with large FLAs even with 15 GB free on other drives, I got

hard crashes until clearing C (this was on P3 600s with 256MB). I'd also run

scan disk, thorough (if your on 98/95), I've also had crashes when a file

was partly written to a bad sector (though not in Flash, but in the mother

of all illegal operation generators: Premiere;-).
