FLASH: Not responding buttons while loading?

I'm finishing up a jazz musician's site:

I'm noticing a universal problem with Flash. I've got skip buttons in the

Flash itself and some test links on the page. When you press them, they

are supposed to take you to a menu page, however, the buttons are very

unresponsive... the swf keeps downloading for a minute or two [in IE 5

Mac at least] before it registers the clicks and moves to the new pages.


Is this a problem with Flash in general or can I add some code to the

buttons to make the movie more responsive?
