I have to agree with Dustin here...


I think that as a new medium a lot of things are still being defined, and

making generalizations about a content type is tricky.  Going back to the TV

analogy that someone used earlier, there are hundreds of TV

channels/networks out there, the content of each geared towards certain type

of viewer... thus, the content style is different.  You can't expect the

same look and feel to be consistent throughout.  Just like I don't look for

the same style in C-SPAN2 and MTV, I wouldn't expect a unix coder dev site

and a multimedia design firm's website to look the same... diff strokes for

diff folks, right?

It just depends what is important to the client...


Obviously.... with their sites.. .they are text fiends... as with most of

these sites posted we are flash fiends.....


It is all personal preference and needs build the site for YOUR target

audience.....


Need text use text...., need flash, use flash.....


or combine the both with a nice middle of the road type thing. But if you

accomplish your goals set for your site.. then great - mission accomplished!
