You're right. Most people won't have the plugin >4.0.20. I believe that this
version
was released in december last year, but I'm not quite sure. You can download
a
nice tutorial at the MM site with documentation on how to use the script to
check
the player and how to load an external flash file that is loaded when you
push a
print button. I've downloaded the tutorial andused this script and when the
user
doesn't have the right plugin, hewill see two other buttons: "get flash" and
"download as wordfile".

You can download the tutorial ( Flash 4 print authoring SDK) at:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/open/webprinting/authoring.html

They made a small banner which still allows you to print out a nice two page
document

There is a technote on this subject too:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/version.htm

The problem was that I used this script, but still had complaints from some
users, I'm not quite
sure what the problem was but I get the feeling that it is solved.
