Then would it stand to reason that the background of the newly opened movie
has a slight alpha on it to look translucent instead of transparent ?

Flash movies are naturally transparent. Just give it a try.

I was checking out the David Gary, ( http://home.mpinet.net/dgarystudios/ )
site again and had retrieved some of the SWF's out of my cache for study. It
appears that the main SWF movie or background sits under the other SWF
movies ya open using his links, though you can see thru the movies on top at
the movie set as the background.

Is this something that is easy to do ??
Marcus
