in the 1st.txt it should have
btelload=blahblahblah
name your text box bteload

Try this:
Place the 1st.txt in the same foledr where your swf is.
The load variable script should look like this -
Load Variables ("./1st.txt", 0)
This should work on the server as well withou any changes.

I need to load many variables from an external data. Can someone
help. I see information on LoadVariable, but it doesn't seem to work.
For now I'm trying to get it to read in the contents of a file called
1st.txt on my hard drive (later the file will be stored on a server).
The documentation on this isn't very helpful. The script read
LoadVariable("f:\bteorien\1st.txt","bteload"). I have a text
interaction, with the variable declared as bteload. What am I doing
wrong?
