Not a can of worms. Just discussion. Sorry...didn't mean to make trouble.
Just seemed needless to eliminate 640 x 480 users. You're probably right
that most Macromedia users are at higher resolutions. I think the point is
that the "old" site included everybody.

Stat sources: I would agree that they cannot always be trusted.

Another source for screen resolution (as of December 1999):

Before www.statmarket.com charged for their services (several months back),
the posted 12% for 640 x 480 users.

Of course none of this is 100% reliable. But as web designers, it does help
to see "general" statistics.

Anyway, that's what I think.
