1st of all, please understand that this is Just My Opinion.
2ndly, please understand that I HAVE NOT seen the videos.
3rdly, I would love to feel feel free to trust throwing my money toward Lynda.
4thly, Lynda's *Dreamweaver 2 HOT* was a Big Fat Bargain for me (@
$55 I think), because I needed it to get my *ss ramped up on DW (3!)
over one weekend. Several snafu's in/on the book/CD, but I was able
to grok them and bypass them (though others' mileage may vary).
5thly, JMO again, Lynda has seemed to too-frequently choose to
(and/or "have to" [--???]) overlook proper proofreadin (that's a
joke, guys and gals) of her material before releasing it.
It seems to me that, for some unknown reason, Lynda feels that she
has to do A Whole Lot, Real Quick. Bad Business Move, ultimately.
She seems to constantly be shooting herself in her own foot.
Yeeeeeeeeeeek! Ouch!
For example, her Flash site for her promotion of FF2000 Left Coast
was abysmally SLOWWWW to load.
I could go on.
JUST ONE MORE: I just tried to go to her FF site and find out the
cost of attending her upcoming NYC EXPO. Spent 4-5 minutes, and I'm
quick at finding info. NOTHING about price. Maybe it shows up LATER.
What a RIP. I have distaste in my mouth right now. DONE ON THIS.
YMMV, especially regarding this video series; I honestly would love
to discover that Lynda has gotten her Quality Control issues together.
However, frankly, I have my doubts. Would love to be proven to be on
the wrong side of the fence on this one. Especially re ActionScript.
As always: Just My Opinion.
Best wishes, and looking forward to reading others' responses,
Kenny Sherwood
