The best example of this is Microsoft's IE 5 for Mac... finally, it has the
plug-ins object, so that JavaScript methods of player detection now
function. It's taken them a while to implement this; up until v5,
script-based detection never worked for this browser, making it the bane of
the Flash developer's world.

Updating this browser so it matches the conventional script-based detection
routines was a smart move, as well as fixing some of the other problems this
browser had.

If Opera uses Netscape plug-ins, it should have the plug-ins object so it
can be detected by these scripts. If not, it would require yet another
routine to add to your pages for this to work properly.
