Actually, you can. My own humble discovery . . .
The theory is:
Where you want your movie to speed up, Tell Target a previously loaded movie
to play at frame 2,
frame 1 had a stop action. This new movie has a high fps, say 120. Frame
2(the frame you tell target to goto and play) has a looped sound, set to
stream. That should increase the fps even for the level 0 movie. . .
Using the sound properties of that particular sound you can turn the volume
of it completely down . . .
Pretty slick, uh? But . . .
I make no guarantees and am not responsible if anyone gets hurt ;). It just
depends how important this is to you to be willing to go out on this
experimental limb . . .
Good luck - let me know how it works -

Nope.
Shorten the amount of frames used near the end to give the 'speeding' up
effect.

Hi Everyone,
Is it possible to make a certain amount of frames a different speed than the
rest of the movie. So what would happen is my movie would speed up at the
end. All my frames are currently in one layer, this particular movie I am
working on now is basically a slide show but it needs to speed up at the
end. How is this done? Everytime I adjust the frame speed it does it for the
whole movie. I am using Flash 4.0.
