First, make sure you have the latest Flash Xtra (there's good one with D8,
there's good one with D702, there's a bad one with D7).
Also, make sure your projector doesn't have "included" Xtras that are old.
Personally, I like to use a projector with NO Xtras built in... and just
include all the Xtras in a folder. This also makes the projector start
faster.
Make sure the file itself isn't somehow corrupt (just make a super bare
bones file--just one swf and one dir) and see if it crashes.
Try first going to a frame in Director with no Flash sprites... THEN "halt".
That is, don't let them quit while in the middle of the Flash movie.
You didn't mention where the crash was (what the details button revealed)..
that may help if you can't solve it otherwise.
