That might work, Cheri, but I "think" a safer bet would be:
Set Variable: "frameLabelToPlay" = EVAL("anim_"& x & "_" & y)
Begin Tell Target ("/anim_mc")
Go To and Play( frameLabelToPlay )
End Tell Target
