The quickest way I reckon is to be a bit more destructive about it. Copy the
image onto as many layers as you want regions. Hide all layers except
one...roughly select the part you don't want with the lasso
tool....delete.....then pick the "bits" off individually by colour. Repeat
for the other layers. The other way is to uses lines to determine the
reasons on each layer...bloack fill everything outside the layer Ie. the
bits you don't want - with some weird colour (sky blue pink) then select the
whole block and delete it.
Or some combination of the above.
