Steve,
Type out your text and then make it a symbol (F8), right-mouse click on the
layer name that the text is on and create a motion guide, draw the path you
would like on the motion guide. in your keyframes, drag your text symbol to
the starting point of your motion guide and then make your ending keyframe
on the text layer, then move your text to the spot you want it to end, then
set a motion tween between your 2 keyframes on the text layer, also hide
your motion guide so it doesn't mess you up, it just looks like a regular
line otherwise. under your motion properties set it to 'orient to path
direction' if you want it to move correspondingly to the path direction.
