Use
Set Variable "/Text.mc:Text" = Text
instead of
Set Variable "/Text.mc/Text" = Text
an everything should work. If you adress a variable in another mc, you have to
precede the variable name with :
asin /:variable or ../:variable or mc1/mc2:variable
Flashers - I have an mc called Text.mc and in that is a text field called Text
(yeah, original I know!) but that's not the problem.
- In an actionscript I have used Set Variable "/Text.mc/Text" = Text
which never used to be a problem - till now.
Since moving up to a Mac G4 each time I try to edit anything else in
that actionscript or use that syntax in any file, Flash returns the
error "The variable name you have entered contains invalid
characters" and highlights that line of script.
Yet when I move back to a G3 - no problems. Can anyone shed some light?
