Subject: RE: Unilever pull out (Is flash/vector animation doomed?)

I have to disagree, I really don't think that the fact that you can
bring more information down through the new faster connections wont mean
the end of flash. Its present position is one where it offers one of the
smallest file sizes around for the type of interaction and animation
that until now has not been unavailable. now you could feasibly create a
1.5 meg flash file (shell quest was 800k so we are getting there) the
fact still remains that GCI, JAVA and the likes don't stream, so the
flash movie is still going to provide that instant feedback from any
call the server hosting the site.

I don't see why bigger band width should have to result in
"Bloatsites" web sites should always and will always have to be as fast
and lean as possible, and at the moment Flash is the way to do that.

*NOTICE*. any material mention with in this mail has been produced as
opinion, it is not meant to offend, harm, humiliate or annoy anyone. its
just my view. Its just I think its the right view. :)

cheers
dave
