live external updates in plugin mode

In Flash, you can link external files (Excel, Word etc...) into the

interface that live update during authoring mode. Is there anyway at all

of getting them to live update during the plugin mode. I believe when

you export to .SWF, it just creates a bitmap view of the file. Any ideas

anyone, or is this a wish for Flash 3.
