Simplest way,
1: Select text, then create as symbol.
2: Move down the timeline to a preferable distance.
3: Insert keyframe. double click on (text) symbol and
assign brightness to -100(blk background) +100(wht bckgnd)
goto keyframe of original symbol(text) and in the grey box on the
timeframe select tween/motion.
Remember to turn of scaling or rotation checks unless you are using
either along with the effect of fade tween.
