I
have been stumped for a while on a problem I have and wondering if anyone has
any advice. I have a Flash intro movie that plays and streams well, at the
end of it is a Get URL action that takes you to an HTML Frameset with three
frames. The navigation there is in Flash, the rest of the page is straight
HTML and .jpgs, etc. I would like to keep it that way. The problem I
have is the Navigation is a rather large movie because of a sound file. I
am trying to figure out how I might load the sound file and symbols first before
I hit the Get URL for the frameset. Is there anyway to do this?
I tried to use the
FLash Intro animation as a preloader and use If FRame Loaded, I dumped all the
symbols and sound in there, but when it gets to the Get URL at the end, it seems
like it reloads all of the symbols from scratch because it is loading a new HTML
document. Any way to keep it in cache?
Any
ideas?
Thanks,
Larry
