For fading text, I've used a couple of techniques.


1) Cover the text with a box filled with a linear gradation (from

background color to Alpha 100%), and tween the box off of the text, or

2) Cover the text with a box filled with the same color as the

background and tween it to Alpha 100%.


Others probably have some better ways.
