Hello Brian.
You can create your 3D animation in the program of your choice (3D Max,
Lightscape, Ray Dream Studio, etc.) You would have to export a bit map
sequence and then trace the bit maps by hand (there is a good tutorial on
this at http://www.manoone.com/).
Another option would be to use Adobe Dimensions to create your 3D fx. From
what I understand, you can export to a vector format (.ai if I am not
mistaken) and then import that into Flash (Ctl R).
As far as I know, there is no way to convert to vectors using a batch
process in PhotoShop (I could be wrong though).

I'm noticing some nice 3D fx in the occasional flash site, and liking it
quite a bit. I'm a bit tired of the same ole' animation fx and this makes
the site look like an actual interactive piece, rather than a flash
fade-happy cliche.
My question is this... to incorporate these vector based 3D animations, my
approach would be to design the graphics in a standard 3D application (3D
MAX or MAYA) then run the sequential images through a batch postorization
process in photoshop, then run them through SOMETHING (maybe streamline?) to
convert the now-posterized images into vector based files.
Am i WAY off base here or is this the only (time consuming) way to cook 3D
in flash?
curious, and hoping to pursue...
